Manzer was the leading hitter for the Lady Lions, who won the season-opening Lion Classic I. Her highlights included a go-ahead two-run home run in an eventual 4-3 win over Southern Illinois and a 3-for-3 performance in a 7-3 win over Mississippi Valley State in the tournament finale.
