Hayes continued her hot streak, finishing 2-0 with a save during a 4-1 week for Southeastern. On Tuesday, she earned the win in a 10-5 win over Alcorn State, striking out seven in three innings of shutout relief. She threw 4.1 innings in a 6-4 win over Nicholls - the first loss for the Colonels this season in Southland Conference play. On Saturday, she came in in the seventh inning with a one-run lead and Nicholls having loaded the bases with no outs. Hayes kept the potential tying run at third, retiring the heart of the Colonels order to secure the series win for SLU with her second save of the season.
