In just two quarters of work, Nunez engineered a Lion offense that put up 461 yards of offense in the first half and built a 42-13 halftime lead on the way to a 49-20 victory at Northwestern State. The 49 points were the most the Lions have ever scored at Northwestern State and the 29-point margin of victory was the largest ever by SLU in Natchitoches. Nunez threw for a season-high 253 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 43 yards. In the three games Nunez has started this season, SLU is averaging 48.7 points and 549.7 total yards per contest.
