Bethea rushed for a career-high 187 yards and two touchdowns as the Lions’ upset bid of FBS foe UL Lafayette fell just short on Saturday. The senior’s single-game yardage total was the ninth-highest in school history. Bethea sparked a rushing attack that put up the fifth-highest single-game team yardage total (343 yards) since the program returned after an 18-year hiatus in 2003. The Boca Raton, Florida native helped SLU rack up 514 total yards of offense and post its highest-ever point total versus an FBS opponent.
