Davis threw 53-7 in taking third in the shot put at the Ole Miss Classic on Saturday, breaking the school record of 51-7.75 she set at the Texas Relays earlier this season. She also increased her lead in the conference by more than six feet and moved into 17^th place in the East region and 32^nd nationally. She finished behind just Jeneva Stevens of the NYAC and Ole Miss’ Janeah Stewart, the fifth-ranked shot-putter in the country.
