Veal averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists as the Lions split their four games during the week. He opened the week by tying a career high with nine assists while tossing in 14 points in an 89-72 win over Xavier-Louisiana. He contributed 18 points, a career-best nine rebounds and six assists as the Lions broke a 19-game non-conference road losing streak with a 72-56 win at UTEP on Wednesday. He added a team-high 20 points, hitting 4-of-8 on 3s, in a 67-59 loss at Colorado State on Friday.
