Vasterling, running in his first collegiate meet, helped the Lions take the team title at the New Orleans Invitational on Friday. The freshman had the fastest individual time for Southeastern at 13 minutes, 6.1 seconds. He teamed with sophomore Brett Olivier for the fastest team time at 26:32.5 in the two-man 8K relay. Only Harry Wiggins, running unattached, had a faster individual time.
