Led the Lions to their best ever finish at the SLC Indoor Track and Field Championships in school history ... Set a school and Southland Conference Record with a mark of 65 ft. 2.25 in. (19.87 m). Shallow's mark finished nearly four feet ahead of the field with Northwestern State's Daniel Yarbrough claiming second at 61 ft. 4.75 in. (18.71 m) ... Was one of four Lion weight throwers to make the finals and one of three to score for the Lions at the 2009 SLC Championships ... Went on to claim All-SLC honors in the shot put with a throw of 55 ft. 2.75 in. (16.83 m)
