Velkovska, the lone returning letterwinner for the three-time defending SLC regular season champions, helped Southeastern to a 2-0 start to the 2009 spring schedule. Velkovska had straight set victories at No. 1 singles and teamed with freshman Audrey Chelini for two dominating wins at No. 1 doubles in road wins at Louisiana Tech and Centenary. With her two wins, Velkovska is now 64-11 in singles play in her Lady Lion career and moved into fifth place in school history in terms of career singles victories.
