JaMichael Hawkins turned in two of his top-3 shooting performances of the season and averaged 25.5 points per game this past week. The junior from Jackson, Miss., converted two of every three shots he took against Sam Houston State and sunk seven three-pointers on the way to a 26-point performance. Against Lamar, he scored 25 points and his six three-pointers helped carry the Lions to within one of the school single-game record (16).
