Bennett led Southeastern to a 45-7 win over Southeast Missouri in his Lion debut. The junior transfer from Oregon rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 169 yards. The Granada Hills, Calif. native was the first Lion quarterback to rush for 100 yards or more since Dean Waguespack on Oct. 15, 1977. His three rushing touchdowns and 106 yards were part of a 309 rushing yard and six rushing touchdown effort with both totals marking the most by a Lion team since the program returned in 2003.
