Pierre, a native of New Iberia, finished with a season-high 14 tackles and four fumble recoveries. Pierre’s 65-yard return set up Southeastern’s first touchdown in its 35-28 loss at Nicholls State. Starting at middle linebacker for the first time in 2008, Pierre also returned a fumble 20 yards for a touchdown that cut the Colonel lead to 35-21.

In his first season with the Lions out of Itawamba Community College, Pierre led the team with four fumbles forced and six fumble recoveries. Pierre was fourth on the team with 66 tackles, while also recording three sacks and four tackles for loss.
