Matthews was the key performer in Southeastern’s sweep of Central Arkansas – the program’s first Southland Conference series sweep since 2008. On Sunday, she hit a walk off grand slam and drove in five runs in a 6-4 win over the Bears. In Saturday’s opener, her two run home run provided the winning runs in a 4-2 win. Matthews scored the game-winning run in a 1-0 win in Saturday’s nightcap. In her first season with Southeastern, she leads the team with four home runs, 12 RBI and 13 walks.
