Browne was dominant in the circle in her first week as a collegiate pitcher. In her Lady Lion debut, she earned a complete-game victory in a 4-2 win over defending Ohio Valley Conference champion Tennessee-Martin, scattering five hits and striking out 11 batters – the most by a Lady Lion since former Southeastern All-Southland pitcher Rachel Ray struck out 14 versus Mississippi Valley State on Feb. 15, 2008. She was even more dominant on Sunday, holding Southern to two hits and striking out nine Jaguars in a 9-0 complete game shutout win. For the week, she had a 2-0 record with a 1.38 ERA, striking out 20 and holding foes to seven hits (.167 batting average) in 13.0 innings of work.
