The sophomore is 12-3 with a 1.69 ERA for a Southeastern pitching staff that has a 1.68 team earned run average and a Division I-leading 16 shutouts. Burns and the Lion pitchers were a huge part of SLU becoming the first Southland Conference team to sweep a three-game series over McNeese in Lake Charles since 2010, as Southeastern extended its winning streak to 19 games - the longest in program history.
