Bennett averaged 2.0 blocks per set on the way to being named SLC Defensive Player of the Week. The Prairieville, La. native returned to the lineup from a two-match absence to finish with a team-high five blocks in a 25-18, 25-17, 25-19 win over McNeese Thursday. She was even more dominant in Saturday’s 25-18, 25-10, 25-13 victory over Nicholls Saturday, posting seven blocks and helping a SLU defensive effort that held the Colonels to a .011 hitting percentage – the lowest by a Lady Lion opponent in 2025. Bennett also led Southeastern with 11 kills in the sweep of Nicholls. Bennett is currently third in Division I with 1.83 blocks per set. Her 77 total blocks in 12 matches played are good for fifth nationally.
