Salvaggio hit .600 (6-for-10) during SLU's series win over Nicholls that helped the Lions clinch the Southland Conference regular season championship. Salvaggio hit two home runs in game two of the series - a 5-4 victory in 10 innings that allowed SLU to secure host duties for the Southland Conference Baseball Championships Hammond Bracket presented by GeoSurfaces. In the rubber game of the series, he scored four runs in a 19-4 SLU rout that clinched the league title and the No. 1 seed in the league tournament.
