LaRue was named the season's first Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week Monday. After throwing three innings of scoreless relief in Friday’s 5-2 loss to Central Arkansas, LaRue closed out the tournament with a pair of complete-game efforts. She scattered three hits in a 10-1 mercy-rule win over defending American Athletic Conference champion Charlotte Saturday. LaRue was even better Sunday, tossing a complete-game, two-hit shutout in a 5-0 win over UCA. For the week, she finished 2-0 with a 0.47 ERA and held opposing batters to a .173 batting average.
