Gracie Duplechin was named Southland Conference Setter of the Week for the second time after helping SLU extend its win streak to 14 matches. Duplechein, a junior setter from St. Amant, Louisiana, averaged 14.38 assists per set, turning 40.8% of her sets into assists on Lady Lion kills as SLU hit .257 combined in the wins over HCU and A&M-Commerce. She also had four service aces and had two block assists while averaging 2.75 digs per set in the week’s two matches. Thursday at Houston Christian, she had 55 assists, which at the time was a new season high, with two service aces and two block assists. She followed that up on Saturday with a new single match career of 60 assists in the win over Texas A&M-Commerce while also getting two service aces to fall. She had her seventh and eighth double-doubles on the year with 12 digs against the Huskies and 10 digs against the Commerce Lions.
