HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's basketball teams will continue nonconference play during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
Fresh off snapping a three-game losing streak with a dramatic 72-68 win at Troy, the Lions (4-5) will continue their eight-game road swing this week. On Saturday, Southeastern will head over to Baton Rouge for a 5:30 p.m. contest at Southern.
 
Also on Saturday, the SLU women's basketball team (3-5), which ended a three-game skid of its own with a 79-54 victory at Prairie View, will return home, hosting William Carey at 1 p.m. in the University Center. Santa Claus is coming to Hammond, America for Saturday's game, as fans are encouraged to wear their Christmas garb and enjoy festive in-game promotions.
 
Morgan Davis is Saturday's Spotlight Player of the Game. The first 150 games at the SLU-William Carey contest will receive a trading card featuring the Orlando, Florida native courtesy of PRIDE.
