HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana will face its final test before starting Southland Conference play when the Lady Lions host Georgia State Sunday at 1 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium.
Southeastern (3-3-1), the reigning Southland Tournament champion, opens conference play at home Friday against McNeese
"It's going to be a tough Georgia State team coming to town," Southeastern head coach
Blake Hornbuckle said. "We're really going to have to execute very well defensively and look at our outlets to play to and create on the attack."

Southeastern is coming off a historic 5-1 win at Southern University on Thursday as the victory was the 200
th in the program's history. Sophomore forward
Sofia Olsson also tied a school record with four goals, equaling the feat achieved by Danielle Shank versus Southern on Sept. 9, 2005 and matched two days later by Aimee Davis against Alcorn State. Olsson's four goals and eight points are also season highs in the Southland.

Christina Cutura added a goal and also had an assist for Southeastern (3-3-1). Junior
Lauren Babcock had a pair of assists while senior goalkeeper
Hope Sabadash and sophomore
Vanessa Arzaluz had one each. Sabadash also made three saves.
Southeastern currently leads the Southland with 159 shots and 44 corners. The Lady Lions are second with 31 points while tying for second with 11 goals. Olsson leads the league with 28 shots and is tied for first with five goals. She is also second with 10 points. Junior
Maggie Ramsey is second in shots with 24 while sophomore
Payton Colson is third with 19. Ramsey is also tied for sixth with three goals. Babcock and Cutura are tied for sixth with two assists apiece.
Sabadash is tied second with 38 saves and is second with two shutouts while posting a sixth-best 1.38 goals against average. She needs two more saves to tie Lacey Bockhaus (2008-12) for second on the Lady Lions' career list.
Georgia State (2-2-2) has been off since losing 4-0 at Western Kentucky last Sunday. The Panthers, in their first season under head coach Ed Joyce, have scored five goals while allowing eight. Freshman Brooke Shank, seniors Alexis Thomas and Callie O'Connor and juniors Taina Anglade and Kenzie Winters have each scored this season. Sophomore Caitlin Ray has a team-high two assists and junior Kylie Ruffule one.
Redshirt junior Brie Haynes has played all six matches in goal, compiling a 1.24 GAA with four shutouts and 23 saves.
Southeastern has not played the Panthers under Hornbuckle. Georgia State leads the series 4-0 with all four matches coming in Trans America Athletic Conference action during the 1995 and '96 seasons.
