HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will begin its final week of the regular season on Tuesday, hosting Alcorn State for a doubleheader at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
First serve for the matches between the Lady Lions (11-7) and the visiting Braves (10-13) is set for 1 p.m. with the second match slated for 4 p.m.
SLU will be looking to bounce back from a hard-fought 4-3 loss to New Orleans on Sunday. Senior

Madina Vorotnikova won in singles play versus UNO, but it was not enough as the Lions suffered the narrow loss.
Villarreal (13-3) enters her final matches at the Southeastern Tennis Complex with the team's best singles record. The Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico native is 68-9 all-time in singles play and ranks fourth in school history in career singles victories.
All three of Sunday's winners boast winning singles records. Raygadas (10-7) and Vorotnikova (9-5) have also been effective in singles play.
In doubles play, Villarreal and sophomore
Dalina Dahlmans (13-2) have been dominant on the No. 1 court. On No. 3, Raygadas and junior
Margaux Kaltenbacher have also been productive with a 9-7 record.
Southeastern will be looking to repeat its performance versus Alcorn State from earlier this season. The Lions defeated the Braves twice on Jan. 29.
Following Tuesday's non-conference finale, Southeastern will host McNeese State on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Nicholls on Sunday at 1 p.m. Sunday will be Senior Day as well, as Villarreal and Kaltenbacher, who is graduating a year early, will play the final home matches of their careers.
