Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics

Hardy was an All-American track athlete and member of the 1975 National championship track team. He was also a member of NCAA and NAIA 440-yard national championship relay teams. During his career, he was a member of three conference winning track teams.  Hardy was the first African-American athlete to sign a track scholarship with Southeastern and the first to represent the Lions in a track meet. He was elected to Southeastern Hall of Fame in 1979 along with former teammate Robert Martin.
