Connors was a standout defensive back for the Lions from 2006-10. The Marrero, Louisiana native was a consensus All-America as a junior, when he posted a team-high 108 tackles. A four-time All-Southland Conference selection, Connors ranks third in school history with 355 career tackles and his nine interceptions are the ninth-most by a Lion. A two-time first team All-Louisiana selection, Connors was also a standout in the classroom, earning Southland Conference All-Academic honors in each of his final three seasons. In 2017, Connors was named the head football coach at his alma mater, Archbishop Shaw High School.
