Maiya Cooper was one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the Lady Lion soccer program, ranking second all-time with 47 career goals from 2009-12. A four-time first team All-Southland Conference and first team All-Louisiana selection, she is the only three-time All-Region performer in program history. She led Southeastern in scoring in each of her four seasons and is the only player in school history with four seasons of 10 or more goals. The 2009 Louisiana Freshman of the Year was part of the first SLU team to advance to the NCAA Tournament and scored a goal in the Lady Lions’ first-round match at Florida State. She was named the 2011-12 SLU Female Athlete of the Year.
