Nicknamed the Bayou Briser and regared as the top blocking fullback in Southeastern history, Mac Faul lettered four years and helped pave the way for two Lion 1,000-yard rushers. He was named to the All-Gulf States Conference team in 1967, a season in which he led the Lions in rushing.  He gained 1,362 yards rushing his his career. He was named the Lions’ permanent team captain after the 1969 season.
