Linda Puckett was the first women's basketball coach in Southeastern history. In her seven seasons at the helm of the program, she led the Lady Lions to the 1976-77 AIAW National Championship. Puckett's teams won 20 or more games in all but one of her seven seasons. Her career record was 175-45 and she coached three All-Americans - fellow Hall of Fame members Queen Brumfield, Pam Cook and Cindy Williams.
