Jeff Williams was a standout pitcher for the Lions from 1992-96. Williams won a school-record 12 games in 1996 and was named a third team Mizuno/Collegiate Baseball All-American. He ranks second in school history in career strikeouts (256), is third in innings pitched (285.2), fourth in career victories (21), and remains tied for the school-record with 10 complete games pitched during that 1996 season. Williams, a member of the Lions 1992 and 1994 TAAC championships teams, led the team in strikeouts in three of his four seasons and tied the single-season strikeout record with 125 in 1996.
He signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Dodgers following his senior campaign and has played professionally in both the Major Leagues as well as in Japan.
He most recently teamed with former Lion Hall of Famer and fellow Australian Gavin Fingleson to help his country to the silver medal at the summer Olympic Games. It was Australia's first-ever Olympic Medal for baseball.
