Greg Lawrence was a two-time All-American and was twice an all-Gulf South Conference team. In 1978, he became Southeastern's first Division I All-American, finishing fourth in the nation in the 60-yard high hurdles. He finished his career as the school's record holder in the 60-yard high hurdles, 120-yard high hurdles and as a member of the 440-yard relay and 880-yard relay teams. In addition he was a freshman member of the NAIA national championship team.
