One of the most accurate shooters in NCAA history, Knowles was a three-time All-Trans America Athletic Conference performer and the league’s Player of the Year in 1995-96. A native of Louisville, Miss., Knowles set an NCAA record in field goal percentage in 1995-96, converting on 72.1 percent of her attempts and finished her career as the all-time leader at 68.1 percent.
Knowles is ranked among the career leaders in Southeastern history in points (4th, 1,604), rebounds (2nd, 1,127), field goals made (3rd, 578), free throws made (3rd, 448) and blocked shots (3rd, 78). A Freshman All-America in 1992-93, Knowles was twice named to the TAAC All-Tournament team and was Southeastern’s Co-Female Athlete of the Year in 1995-96.
