Bob Hardy was an outstanding pitcher for the Southeastern baseball team from 1959-62. He led the Lions in strikeouts in each of his four seasons. He paced the team in earned run average in 1960, 1961 and 1962. In 1960, Hardy finished the season with a 9-1 record and a 1.39 earned run average with 75 strikeouts. He compiled a 24-10 career record. After the 2019 baseball season, he still ranked as the career leader in strikeouts and innings pitched.
