Angie Antonelli was a three-sport standout for the Lions, lettering in football, basketball and baseball. After returning from World War II, he was the starting center and linebacker on Southeastern’s 9-0 team in 1946.
A two-time All-Louisiana Intercollegiate Conference selection, he helped the Lions to an appearance in the Burley Bowl. After a brief professional career, he returned to Louisiana, coaching at Breaux Bridge High, introducing 11-man football to the school and guiding the team to three undefeated seasons.
