Alvin LeBlanc dedicated nearly his entire professional career to Southeastern Louisiana University and its athletics department. He served in numerous capacities at SLU from 1952 until his death in July of 2002. During his tenure, LeBlanc served as head track and field coach, dean of men, associate athletics director for compliance, interim athletics director, vice president for administration, and part-time in the Alumni Office. He is also a member of the Southland Conference Hall of Honor.
