HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana softball team will return to the field on Thursday, facing Alcorn State at 6:30 p.m. at North Oak Park in a non-conference contest.
The Lady Lions (4-10) and Alcorn State (5-7) were originally scheduled to meet on Wednesday, but the game was pushed back a day due to inclement weather in the Hammond area. Live stats for Thursday's game will be available at www.LionSports.net.
Southeastern will look to snap a four-game losing streak on Thursday. The Lady Lions opened Southland Conference play with a 5-3 victory over Nicholls last Tuesday. However, the Colonels came back with two wins to close the series. Last weekend, UT Arlington took a doubleheader from the Lady Lions before Sunday's series finale was rained out.
The Lady Lions are hitting .221 as a team through the first 14 games of the season. Sophomore

No individual statistics are available for visiting Alcorn State. In their latest action, the Lady Braves were swept by Arkansas-Monticello on March 3.
Southeastern has won all seven previous meetings versus Alcorn State. Last season, Southeastern won 6-5 in Lorman, Miss. and shutout the Lady Braves, 5-0, in Hammond.
Following Thursday's game, Southeastern will be back in action on Saturday, heading to Mobile, Ala. for a 2 p.m. contest versus South Alabama.
